The Center          
 
The International Center for Health, Law and Ethics, a joint venture of the Research Authority and Faculty of Law, Haifa University,  comprises twenty units and departments in various fields: Mental Health, Psychology, Human Communications, The Holocaust, Complementary Medicine, Genetics, Environment, Veterinary, Physiotherapy, Nursing etc.
It promotes academic research and educational activities world-wide. All its activities are done voluntarily by tens of dozens of volunteers in Israel and abroad.  Activities include conferences, seminars, lectures and meetings, all involving eminent speakers and discussants in the field of Health Law and Bioethics. Local activities also include a social-professional lectures club for jurists and health professionals and a public platform for health, law and ethics in the cinema.
Publications include (so far) 12 books on Law and Medicine, an international Quarterly "Medicine and Law", a local bi-annual journal "Refua'h U'mishpat", and a series of medical ethics training manuals, already translated into more than 10 languages, created by the center's UNESCO Chair in Bioethics and designed to introduce medical ethics training to medical schools around the world
